The Sehreh Tea Factory in Langarud: From Garden to Package

The Sehreh tea factory sits in Langarud, in Gilan province, where leaf from the private gardens enters the production line. The short distance between garden and factory is exactly what shapes the tea's final quality — a leaf that arrives late loses part of its freshness and aroma.

The Leaf's Path, from Garden to Package

Freshly picked leaf is first withered to reduce its moisture, then rolled to open the leaf's cells and start oxidation. Depending on the tea type (black or green), this oxidation is either completed or stopped, and the leaf is then dried and graded — the same grades we've written about before: broken, leaf (ghalam) and pyramid. Every one of these steps happens under the factory's direct oversight, in the shortest time possible.

Factory Management

The Sehreh tea factory operates under the management of Dr. Esmaeilzadeh — an approach that, from the very start, has emphasised a clear origin and consistent quality, not just the final package. That same approach is why the garden and the factory at Sehreh are one continuous path, not two separate parts.

What the Factory Produces

The factory's output isn't just one kind of tea; it spans a range of products:

Why a Clear Origin Matters

When a product comes from a specific factory, with a clear address and clear management, its path from garden to your hands can be traced. That's exactly what sets "authentic" tea or nuts apart from blended, opaque products — and exactly why the Sehreh tea factory in Langarud has kept that path short and clear.
